Cost?

Ok guys, so here's what I'm thinking so far.

One-shot meals: $5 per. Comes in a cheap Gladware container, which is why you pay a slight premium - I don't expect to get it back.

Weekly rate: $7, plus an initial fee of $15 to purchase a nicer Tupperware container with little side-dish compartments and stuff. You eat, you give me back when I bring you more food, I wash, I refill, you give me the other back when I bring you the first full of food - you get the idea.

The numbers for meals are totally arbitrary and just based on wanting to be less than a trip to Chipotle or something. The Tupperware cost comes from here, so as you can see, I'm not trying to be a ripoff here (and actually, I would lose money initially, as I would need to have 2 tupperwares for each of you). Looks like we have a little interest!

To answer some questions: I will do my best to deliver all over the city. I'll let you know my schedule depending on the orders I get that day. I'm planning to have both a per-day option, and a cheaper weekly or monthly option. For now, remember, only Tuesdays and Thursdays. If I get enough people this week, I will probably start delivering next Tuesday.

I will try to post weekly meals here ahead of time - ideally by Sunday night. That way you can decide if you want what I'm cookin'. Someday, I might expand to an actual menu, but that's a ways down the road. For now, you're gonna get what I feel like making, and you will LIKE it.

FIRST

Currently, just trying to drum up interest, to see if this project is feasible for making me a little bit of cash. If you live or work in Chicago, and you want lunches for small amounts of money ($4 or $5, haven't settled on a price yet), leave a comment with things you like to eat and how much you would be willing to pay per day or per week.

I'll be starting out only doing lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to accommodate the REAL JOB that I have, but things could expand if there is interest and if that goes well. So, pretty please, speak up.
